RE-Surgence

photographed by Keith MeiserRE-Surgence is a wall relief sculpture hung diagonally above the escalators in the Huron Avenue entrance lobby of the Huntington Center, a multipurpose arena in Toledo, Ohio. It is the shape of the topographic silhouette of the Maumee River as it flows into Toledo Area. Made of discarded blue and green plastic objects collected from the local community and lit with LED lights from behind, it glows and fades and changes color mysteriously as you climb up on the escalator to go to the second floor of the arena.
Plastic objects were donated by the public and collected from the local thrift stores.
